I had hoped things like this would cease, once we eliminated certain members whose posts were more annoying than informative. :( It is true that since then, the forum has taken a rather impersonal & perhaps too casual appearance for you. About 2 months ago, I did address one other member's concern about this same thing, & I assured him that although other members only rarely post purely appreciative things, we do appreciate everyone's input.

As much as I personally would like to respond to almost every post, if I only said something encouraging such as "Thanks for the info," I would then be the annoyance; when people visit this forum, they want information, rather than friendliness. Every time anyone posts in a thread, everyone who has posted in that thread receives an email message stating that a post has been made. If many of these posts were little more than encouragement or "thanks" posts, many of our members might become frustrated, as they indeed did during the period between January & late August. As cheerful & polite as the offending member was, we chose to put her on probation because her 5-7 posts every day were nothing more than "thanks" & certain members had PMed us to complain. Is there no way we can win?

I will miss you, Hikari Tail.

I'm sorry you feel some posts are "ignored". I read almost everything, but just because I don't reply to every thread doesn't mean I find them less enjoyable and am ignoring them. It's just that I have nothing new to add myself. Maybe others feel the same?

I'm never far, but I'm not participating as much as I would like to myself. This has nothing to do with the people here however, it's because of personal issues. That said, if there's a specific problem and something can be done, you can contact us and we'll see what we can do.

In any case, I totally understand that one might feel the need to take a break for many reasons. ;) I wish you the best and we'll be glad to see you back when you come back. :)

Edited: As for making this thread a sticky, I don't know. I'm not saying this was your intention, but I've seen so many "goodbye" threads on other forums turn into a mess that I'm not sure... Maybe it wouldn't happen here though.

I do agree that a welcome thread would be a good idea.

Welcome back! :)

You can change your e-mail address through the User Control Panel (User CP). We can even change your username for you if you want another one. Just ask. ;)

At the top right of any page on the forum, you should see "Private Messages." Just click that link & you will enter your inbox, which will have a "Your Control Panel" column toward the left. "Edit Email & Password" is a few lines from the top. It should be easy from that point.

"User CP" on the top left is good too to access the user control panel (that's what it stands for by the way).
The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.
