For the record, a fellow forum member actually owns a lightning chibi Astro. You can see it on the "show your Astro collection" thread. It looks quite nice: must be a real beauty to watch it change colours.
It's like my good ol' He-Man sword [weeps]. I'm only 25 and I'm starting to behave like I was 26.

Look what I've just found:
It's a ray gun made for the 80's series! It doesn't appear to make noises (maybe light up a little) but it shoots little plastic rings. Of course, you could find a similar item at a Dollarama outlet, but without Astro.
With fold-out target view and "Tetuwan Atom" sticker!
Looking inside the box, it comes with two shooting rings, and cardboard targets of Atlas and Guiss. (Where's Skunk?) It would kind of be a better arrangement if you got about five rings, in case you lose a few.

This gun is like "Today I'm feeling like I'm Astroboy, but, however, I feel like I'm a Cannon Films movie character as well. How to mix that?". Well, here's your ideal toy, my lil' lad!

OK, this is NOT Astro, but I laughed a lot with this one. Big X on a tricycle is the list thing I expected from Tezuka-related mercahndise.

Operate on Astro like you operated on the red-nosed guy and on Homer Simpson! The question here is: what's the lighter at the bottom for?

Vintage menkos for fast fun. Now I recall the Tiny Toons and then Dragon Ball menko (called "tazos" here) fever in my country, during the early/mid-nineties. Meeeeeemories, fafafa-fafafaaaaafaaaaa...

45 rpm single of the Astroboy song. Will you fight friend or foe? (never understood this line)

TOTALLY AWESOME Chinese Astroboy toy. The artwork in the box is from the 1980 series.

Astro, Uran and an unknown rabbit on their Cadillac (or it's a Lincoln?) on their way from Frisco to Santa Barbara, listeing to Jan & Dean on the radio all the while.

I don't know what it is. The info just tells this is for playing on water.
Ta-da!

Here's the complete description with some pics.
It seems the Big X on the tricycle has been sold, so the image is not on ebay anymore :d oh: Pity, it was so funny.
