Astro Boy SNES Game

Postby Fauna » 16 years ago

You know, the one from here. Has anybody played this game fully? I saw a video of the first two stages on YouTube (which unfortunately got deleted before I could save it...), and I've just gotten my ROM emulator working.

Point is, does anybody know the controls, or any tips on the game?

[I only know of five or six stages in total; the first one is in a pyramid, where the boss is a robot cat named Sphinx. Second one is a haunted house, supposedly Skunk's hideout, with Light Ray the boss. Third is in a spaceship with an evil computer, and that's it.]

The controls depend on what emulator you're using. I don't know what emulator you're using so I can't tell you but most have an option of re-configuring the controls

I got up to some kind of circle stage, where the world rotates around you, and couldn't figure out what to do.

I finished the game, but it was a long time ago, so I don't remember quite well what has to be done and how.

This one is easy: just kick whatever comes to you without being kicked yourself. You have to progress upward with rings becoming more and more small and twisted. Maybe there was some trick somewhere I don't remember?
The following level was tricky though, as the goal isn't obvious when you don't understand Japanese. I don't tell anything, but if you are stuck there just ask ;)

I need to get a new cable for my Super Nintendo. I have the cartridge but for some reason I can't get the console to work with the tv.

Are you sure your console can play it? I understand certain consoles need to be "modified" to use Japanese cartridges.

I've finished this game a long time ago, I've used an SNES emultor I remember it was ZSNES.

It was a fun game in my opinion but not as epic as the Omega Factor on GBA.
