Astro Boy is in the Movie Tekkonkinkreet!

It got this screen shot from the movie Tekkonkinkreet. (Also said as Tekkon Kinkreet.) I was watching it then I saw Astro Boy. The first thing that came to my mind was that I had to show the members of this forum. It seems that maybe the artist liked Astro Boy. But this is the only time we see him. Well not him but more like a cardboard cutout of him.

There are also a 600+ Manga of Tekkonkinkreet. But I don’t know if the Astro Boy image is also in the Manga.

why was he in there?

Well I’m guessing that the reason he is there is because he could be a role model for the characters Black and White in the movie Tekkonkinkreet. And plus Astro Boy is a classic Anime, and it also started the ‘Boom’ of Anime. Astro Boy is also one of the first Anime’s ever.
