Very interesting indeed. It is always good to see robotics advancing, just put an Astro Boy skin on it, and work on the AI a little more.... and give it a voice, and you have our litttle robot. I imagine the that Astroboy would be on many peoples minds when they hear "Child Robot"

Scientists have designed the robot to mimic the actions of a child - their findings could lead to the development of humanoid robots which learn, think and talk.

And that's when we reject them and sell 'em to the circus!! :ninja:

Yes, I bet the sceptics will be out in force when a "robot with intelligence" is released. I hope they call it kokoro :p

Lets just hope that whatever happens, robots go into mass production, and the Astro model can be bought at your local robot store.
