Hi all: Just getting into anime a bit, especially some of the "classic" stuff.
Theme songs I found that I like so far:
Original Astro Boy 1963 theme (original Japanese melody, NOT the "American school kids" version)
FULL Japanese Astro Boy version from the 1980 series. I think Anapan and Nomad27 had the CD-ripped versions on their servers/sites, but I have not been able to get on these and find them. Posts referencing these items are several years old...
ZONE's "True Blue"...wish they would have kept it for the American version instead of that techno junk!!
"Cutie Honey"!! Great song, especially the new Koda Kumi version. Mayukiss' "Engrish" version is a little hard to understand, but she gets points for trying...
"Catch You, Catch Me" by Gumi (Megumi Hinata) from Cardcaptor Sakura. Yes, I know it's a girl's show, but the tune is SO catchy! The American version is seriously screwed up (as usual, per most Japanese anime imported to my country, sadly).
All of these can be found on YouTube with a little digging.
