Toby is a lot more like Dr. Tenma in the movie. Loves to work, and study...is remotely a genius. While Astro is more fun loving and wants to play.

So last night, during Saturday Night Live, we saw a new trailer that quickly named off a lot of the actors in the movie, as well as listed the release date as Friday. Hype is building up fast, and I have a feeling this movie is going to do well. (Somehow I've adjusted to the new characters designs, Cora and the kids, so I'll probably be okay in there.)

Also, why did have all the trailers and cast listings have "AND NICOLAS CAGE AS DR. TENMA" at the end? It just seems weird to specifically point out him.

Yeah I agree...but I think its cause one well known actor might sell tickets thing might be in effect here.

I haven't joined the "I saw the movie" thread because I don't want to be spoiled.

There was a full page on Astroboy yesterday in my newspaper (well, there were also ads in the page ). For those who are planning to watch the French version, the dubbing has been done in Quebec. The young boy playing Astro said he had a little bit of trouble doing it with an "international French" accent (it was his first dubbing experience). He worked with a coach but apparently it's still a little bit noticeable in the final result. He also said he found it a little bit difficult because he was in the action without really being in it, and as a result he didn't know how to make the sounds when Astro was fighting and thrown into the air!

Who else will be watching the French version? I suppose you will, fafner? Strange Wings, will there be a German version? Will you have access to the French version? I suppose if you buy/rent the DVD it will also be available in your country.
