ASTRO BOY THE MOVIE ACTION FIGURES@ TOYS-R-US!

As part of the merchandise promoting the new movie, "Astro boy the movie" action figures have been released at your local Toys R Us! The figures of Astro Boy come in three sizes! First there are three different models at 3.75 inches. They are: Battle Arena Astro Boy where he wears American football shoulder pads and a T-shirt with the letter "A" on it, along with long pants! Next we have the traditional looking Astro Boy! This one has interchangeable feet and rockets! The other one at this size is: Arm Cannon Astro Boy, and this as one would expect features the arm cannons that he displays in all the trailers from the movie! At six inch size there are the traditional Astro Boy in short pants and red boots and then there is what they are calling Metro City Astro Boy in the outfit he has sported in all the posters and on the covers of the recent movie-related tie-in books! Both feature a belt buckle that when touched, a part of Astro Boy lights up! (The traditional Astro Boy's chest opens up & lights up when you press his belt buckle and Metro City Astro Boy comes with interchangeable feet and rockets which light up when you press his belt buckle!) For those who like their Astro Boys as big as they can get them, they also have larger versions of traditional Astro Boy and Metro City Astro Boy! They are great additions to anyone's collection! They're also fairly inexpensive!

You won't find any as nice as that Hot Toys one at TRU, but they are pretty cool.

Be warned the 3 3/4 have some issues in changing the feet.

I do remember the video game Quake where you can make your own player. I had Astro. When you walked with him normal he had the rockets fired up when youi moved. When you crouched the rocket flames disappeared and he would walk on his feet. lol
