I bought the 2003 set from a seller on eBay; $60 for 3 volumes (includes shipping). These stories are variations on the 2003 anime episodes.

Well are they good stories? Cause I heard quite a few people did not like the 2003 Series of the Animated Show despite the fact that it was amazingly adorable

There were both pros & cons:
Con, all of the stories were very short, no more than about 20 pages each.
Pro, some were several chapters long. Atlas' story is 6 chapters long.
Pro, the characters were mixed into stories in which they did not originally appear; example, Katari is involved in Atlas' story.
Con, there were too many stories to really give any depth to any of them. Example, the GREATEST ROBOT story was way too short to cover even a fraction of the original version's content. This 1 tale occupies about 180 pages in volume 3 of the manga, but here, it is no more than 1/9th that length, 20 pages or so. It would have been far better to include only a fraction of the number of stories and do so in depth, than to do as he did with these 3 volumes. He tried to cover too much with too little depth.
Pro, Most of these versions of the stories have fresh ideas.
Is it worth $60? That depends on you; whether you really want it.
