Mandelbulb: The 3D version of the Mandelbrot fractal

I found this software. Renders are slow and not very recognizable, but it may come from the fact that I haven't a working 3D acceleration on this computer (it is a virtual machine).

Interesting.
But you can't get what the others were getting, and you can't make animations or save an AVI file. Or even make a jpg

I looked a bit deeper into this. This is so interesting!
I could stare on these images endlessly! (Lol, I'm I hypnotised already?)

And who said that mathematics couldn't be art?

For having written a software that do 2D fractal calculations, I can tell you that there is a lot of calculations. And 3D fractals are even more calculationally greedy

3D effects like that are brillent like that, but, I'd rather look at things like this or this or this or this
