Whoa. There's this scientist who's trying to create a living mind inside a machine. Here's the most interesting part of the article:

On the shore of Lake Geneva, this brilliant, eccentric scientist is building an artificial mind. A Swiss - it could only be Swiss - precision- engineered mind, made of silicon, gold and copper.
The end result will be a creature, if we can call it that, which its maker believes within a decade may be able to think, feel and even fall in love.

Hate to sound like Tawashi here, but I'm not entirely sure it would be a good thing in real life for him to succeed. If we knew it would go Astro it would be okay, but if it went all Blue Knight... I dunno. The guy's look creeps me out.

I think it's amazing what he's trying to do. I always thought that if life could be made in a machine, I'd feel better around a robot than a person. XD

But I still think it's risky. Didn't he watch AI? Terminator? I-robot? The Matrix!?

I wonder what is powering him to do it...did he lose a son by any chance? XD
