I have another theory LittleAcorn: I believe Astro Boy will marry someone more powerful than he is. Don't ask me why -- that's just my "vision" -- see, if he married a defenseless woman, she'd be a target (think of Lois Lane and Superman). I believe Dr. Tenma would have programmed Astro to be attracted to a woman who would be more or less his equal.
I'm one of those people who specializes in guessing the endings to movies, books, etc. So, I've had this idea about Astro Boy since I was a little girl.
I picture her being a kind of "hybrid" person/robot with extraordinary abilities (some similar, some different from Astro's). They'd meet under a set of circumstances I dreamt up and **boing!!** that's it! Of course there's a whole story going on behind this. One of these days I'll write it up. I really though SOMEBODY would have tackled the subject -- heck -- I've got their kids named and in careers -- the whole deal. See what happens when you're favorite "hero" vanishes for almost half a lifetime? You make up you OWN happy ending.
Cora could fit the profile!...Er...she just needs to get vaporized by an identical Peacekeeper and
BAM Cora with jetboots and butt machine guns!

They'd fight like that couple in
Hancock. Cough cough, but to be serious I agree with you a little, i think Nikki was a little like that wasn't she? though she wasn't strong she was just a bomb. o.o;
And that's cool thinking up a happy ending, everytime there's a bad ending to a series it bugs me.

I hate sadness.
Kids names...can Astro have children? o_o[/QUOTE]
Nikki had potential, but "my" Mrs. Astro (oh, well don't have time to explain the whole thing) is human
and robot -- and her powers are kind of kept "undercover." Okay -- she's from another planet where humans developed differently from Earth humans. And of course she's never heard of "Astro Boy" - so their relationship is very natural (she's like the "Astro Boy" of
her world -- so they have a LOT in common). I know, I know, it's "out there" but hey -- I was a KID for heaven's sake, but it seemed totally plausible to me.
And I figured Dr. Tenma wants to be a grandpa, right? So why not genetically engineer sperm cells from Tobio's DNA? They could be frozen until "needed." A man with built-in birth control -- wooo hooo! Ain't science GREAT?!
