I just watched the 1st disc, which I believe had 4 episodes on it, & began watching the Director's interview. 26 episodes in all, & at best next week's release will take us through ep. 8. I hate it when there is a huge delay between the release of the first and last disc in a series. I especially hate it when the series is as cool as this one! :D

This is why I almost always wait for a "perfect" collection. Or at the very least all the Volumes are in the stores.

I Probably should not say this, but why the hell doesnt some one give that poor girl some clothes?

Who am I to give a rational answer...?

My impression from the film was that she had to take off her clothes for her stealth camo to work--there's two scenes in the film where she has clothes on, but once she's using stealth, the clothes are gone. This one is kinda weird since there are clearly other people using stealth and they don't have to take their clothes off (!! ;) , but I have the feeling that being a cyborg, Kusanagi's stealth is built in or something--meant only to disguise her body.

Regardless, I also think part of the use of nudity in the movie was to also emphasize that the body wasn't her's and it was only a machine.

...which isn't to say they weren't having fun drawing her naked quite a bit of the time.
Bombs vs. bombs, missiles vs. missiles and now a new super weapon to throw upon us all!

Just watched Innocence (GITS2 movie) and it's really beautiful. Started out slow but the second half was too cool! Gotta watch it a few more times to take it all in, I'm sure I didn't fully appreciate it this first time.

Got it from the Internet some time ago... It seemed interesting but difficult to follow due to very bad image and subtitles quality (it was a screener with Japanese audio and English subtitles). At a time I had to pause all the time because they were talking a lot and the subtitles covered the whole screen (no kidding  ) and I had not the time to read them :D Unfortunately a pain to understand  I will have to wait until it is published in my country to really appreciate it ;)

No, the small country stuck between France, Germany and Belgium... You know, that small gap you see on atlas between those countries, where there is not even room to put the name :P I bet I will have to wait at least 6 months to see only the preview of "Ghost in the Shell 2" in theaters :(
